Where We Started
It Started With a Ford Truck and a Mobile Route
Ryan Nickol started Unique Auto Detailing in 2013 out of the back of a Ford truck, running mobile detail jobs wherever the work was. There was no shop, no staff, and no guarantee any of it would turn into what it eventually became. "I remember the first time I detailed 10 vehicles in a week," Ryan says. "I thought to myself, man, this is it — I finally made it." By any measure, what came next exceeded that milestone by a long way.
Over the years that followed, Unique Auto Detailing grew steadily, adding services, adding staff, and outgrowing locations one by one. At its largest, the business operated three locations with 35 employees and more than 20,000 square feet of space, with a customer base of over 10,000 clients and active working relationships with more than 20 auto dealerships across the greater Cincinnati area. The growth was real, and so were the lessons that came with it. "I've learned more from my failures than I ever did from the things I've gotten right."

In 2025, Ryan made a decision that surprised some people and made complete sense to anyone paying attention. He consolidated everything; three locations, multiple management layers, 20,000 square feet into a single 15,000-square-foot flagship in Loveland. Not because business was slowing down. Because bigger was getting in the way of better.
"More isn't always more. Just because you generate more revenue doesn't mean you make more money." That logic drove a deliberate choice to scale back the footprint while keeping everything that actually mattered. Every dealership relationship was maintained. Every service was preserved. The customer base stayed intact. What changed was the overhead, the complexity, and the distance between leadership and the work being done.
Today, Ryan is on-site every day alongside every store manager. That's not something most shops can say. The result is a shop that operates with the experience and reach of a multi-location business and the accountability of an owner-operated one. Over 600 five-star reviews. Over a decade of service to Loveland and the Cincinnati suburbs. What Makes Us Different
Most shops specialize. They're a detail shop, or a tint shop, or a PPF installer. Unique Auto Detailing is all of those things. Auto detailing, ceramic coating, paint protection film, window tinting, paint correction, undercoating, spray-in bedliners, commercial vinyl wraps, vehicle upfitting, truck accessories, lift kits, WeatherTech products, and residential and commercial window film. All of it under one roof, all of it done to the same standard.
That breadth didn't happen by accident. It grew out of a commitment to being the most complete vehicle enhancement shop in the Cincinnati area. We serve individual vehicle owners who want a single trusted shop for everything their vehicle needs, and we serve commercial operators who need a partner that can detail, wrap, upfit, and protect an entire fleet without farming any of it out.
We also offer full-service pickup and drop-off and keep loaner vehicles available for customers who need them. If getting your vehicle to us is the obstacle, we remove it. If being without a vehicle while yours is being worked on is the obstacle, we remove that too. The goal is to make the experience as easy as the results are impressive.
